Project Brief
How might we increase engagement between Santa Monica College’s Interaction Design Bachelor of Science program  and local industry partners?

Time
8 weeks

Competitive Analysis
Sharing student and industry partners perspectives was far more engaging than just providing a laundry list of what industry partner projects look like for that institution. This is what Miguel and I noticed when look at School of Visual Arts | NY MFA - IXD, California College of the Arts, Carnegie Mellon Design and Thomas Jefferson University UX & IXD.

Feature Prioritization
A feature prioritization allowed us to restructure the content. We focused on getting a student and industry partner quote and the partnership projects first, right after the hero image. Following the partnership project we would list the type of the partnership engagements in a scannable manner.

Reflection
We delivered on time but found that we had some roadblocks as we had multi stakeholders with different needs. Luckily we jumped in quickly to identify them.  What I would do differently would be to include myself early on during those conversations so that I can strategically concentrate efforts towards solving for the stakeholder and user. The website garnered the interest of Los Angeles County’s Grand Park. They became an industry partner for SMC’s Interaction Design Bachelor’s of Science program - Cohort 5.
